Candle Care & Tips

Care for your candle with these simple tips. Following these will give you the best result from your amazing scented candle.

Simple Candle Care.

Following these basic steps can ensure your candle burns long, smells strong and looks beautiful;

1. Set the memory of your candle right the first time you light it by burning for a total of 4 hours and 2-4 hours on subsequent burns.

2. Trim your candle wick to 6mm (1/4") before each burn.

3. Keep your candle away from drafts.

Candle Care

  • Always keep the wick centered and trim the wick to approximately 6mm (1/4") before each burn. If you notice too much soot, extinguish the candle, trim the wick and relight.

  • Trimming the wick too short can cause a small flame which affects the scent throw and also the potential for tunnelling in the wax to occur.

  • Allow a 4 hour burn on the first use, letting the melt pool get as large as possible in this time. Some wax hang up is ok and should clear after a few burns.

  • Burn times between 2-4 hours are preferred for the best scent throw and lifespan of your candle. Don’t burn your candle for more than four hours at a time.

  • Keep your candle away from drafts and vents when lit to prevent excessive soot and weakened scent throw.

  • A small amount of mushrooming on the wick is acceptable and won't affect the performance.

  • Some soot may form inside the container, simply wipe away when cooled.

  • Environmental factors may cause shrinkage of the wax, wet spots and frosting to occur, this will have no effect on the performance.

  • Stop burning your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains in the bottom of the jar, this prevents the base from overheating.

  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

  • Keep your candle away from children and pets.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Don’t place your candle near soft furnishings or curtains.

  • Never use water to extinguish candle.

  • Never move candle when it’s lit or when the wax is liquid.

Always follow the warning label on the base of your candle.

Our Candles

Are made with a high quality soy blend wax, melted and hand poured using quality Australian produced fragrance oils.

Due to the nature of the wax, you may notice some 'wet spots' where the wax appears to have come unstuck from the jar. This is perfectly normal with wax and can vary depending on environmental conditions. In no way does it affect the performance of the candle. It is purely a visual thing and a sign of using soy blend wax.

We also only select quality wicks, jars, wax and fragrances from Australian suppliers whose products we trust will give you the best performing candle. We are constantly testing and refining our processes to ensure this quality is always the highest possible.
